DOVER, Del. – A pair of Eagles finished in the top-10 of the Hornet Invitational hosted by Delaware State University on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. Freshmen duo
Tatiana Ogundeko and
Cionne Gourrier placed sixth and seventh, respectively leading Coppin State to a fourth place finish.
Maryland Eastern Shore won the meet with 32 team points while USMMA and Morgan State were both tied for second with 59 points. Host Delaware State was fifth (133), Goldey-Beacom (139) was sixth and District of Columbia (172) rounded out the group in seventh place.
The Eagles tallied 120 total points and had runners place 6
th, 7
th, 31
st, 33
rd and 43
rd.
Coppin was led by Ogundeko's sixth place finish at 21:33.40 in the 5K run. Gourrier crossed the finish line shortly after at 21:33.50 in seventh. This is the second straight meet that these two were the first CSU runners to finish.

Lunnise Gibson (27:18.70) placed 33
rd and freshman
Jasmine Henery (36:54.90) followed at 43
rd. The final Eagle to cross the finish line was freshman
