NORFLOK- Four Coppin State Eagles registered a hit in the Eagles 10-0 road loss to Norfolk State University at the Marty L. Miller Baseball Field in Norfolk, VA on Saturday, April 23.

The Spartans took an early 5-0 lead after scoring four runs on three hits in the opening inning and one run on one hit in the second inning of play.

Freshman infielder
Erik Crossman led off the top of the third inning with a single to center field for the Eagles first hit of the game.

Senior infielder
Colin Dower singled through the left side to close the inning for CSU.

Norfolk State added two more runs on two hits in the bottom of the third inning to claim a 7-0 lead.

Freshman infielder
Nazier McILwain put the Eagles third hit into play with a single up the middle in the fifth inning.

The Spartans scored two runs on three hits to take a 9-0 advantage at the bottom of the seventh inning.

Junior infielder
Bryant Miranda racked up the Eagles final hit of the evening with a single through the left side in the top of the eighth inning.

Norfolk State picked up one more run to close the game with a 10-0 victory.

Krystian Negron led the Eagles tossing 4.0 innings and fanning six Spartan batters.
