BALTIMORE- Five Eagles recorded a hit against Hofstra on Sunday, March 6. Coppin State was shutout, 15-0.

CSU logged three hits in the bottom of the first inning,
Erik Crossman singled up the middle to get things started for the Eagles.

John Kraft then followed Crossman with a single to right field.

Bryant Miranda closed the first inning with a single down the left field line.

In the fourth inning freshman
Jamar Criss singled through to right side for the Eagles fourth hit of the game.

Andrew O'Dwyer singled to the shortstop in the bottom of the eighth inning for Coppin State's final hit of the game.

Hofstra finished the game with 15 runs on 12 hits blanking the Eagles.

The Pride scored three runs in the first inning, two runs in the second inning, three more runs in the fourth inning, one run in the fifth inning, three runs in the sixth, two more runs in the seventh and one run in the eighth.

Aaron Rea was issued to loss after tossing 2.0 innings, surrendering five runs on four hits and striking out one batter.

Devin Sutorius pitched 4.0 innings striking out five.

John Kraft also struck out five batters with going 2.0 innings for the Eagles.

Coppin State will visit the UMBC Retrievers on Wednesday, March 9 in Catonsville, MD. The game will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Alumni Stadium.Â
