The Eagles (0-6) will conclude a seven game road trip to begin the 2016-17 season on Friday, Nov. 25 at Grand Canyon (2-2). The game is set for 9 p.m. (ET). This will be the first ever meeting between the teams.

Coppin State came back from a double-digit deficit and took the lead with under a minute to go, but Ball State managed to escape with a 79-77 win on Monday in the Main Event of the MGM Tournament in Las Vegas. Three scored in double-digits led by senior

Tre' Thomas added eight points and a pair of three-pointers. After a slow start in the first half offensively, CSU turned things around with great shooting in the second half. The Eagles improved from 29% to 53% from the field on 16-of-20 made baskets in the final half.

SHIVERS SCORES CAREER-HIGH IN MGM TOURNAMENT VEGAS
Senior guard
Keith Shivers scored 18 points in the second half and finished with a career-high 26 points on 8-of-14 made field goals versus Ball State. This was his first 20+ point game as an Eagle and his second double-digit scoring performance of the season. In addition to his scoring Shivers tied a career-high with nine rebounds against the Cardinals. In the Eagles last two games (at Utah, vs. Ball State) Shivers has the led the Eagles in scoring.

ABOUT THE LOPES
Grand Canyon (2-2) won both of their home games this season after dropping their first two road games. Three are averaging in double figure scoring led by DeWayne Russell's 26.5 ppg. Joshua Braun (18.3 ppg) and Keonta Vernon (10.5) are the others.

ON DECK FOR COPPIN STATE
Coppin State returns home to Baltimore after their matchup with the Lopes and will host Chestnut Hill College on Monday, Nov. 28 in the Physical Education Complex. The Eagles lead the overall series against the Griffins 1-0.
