Box Score BALTIMORE- The Coppin State women's basketball team dropped a 79-73 decision to the Florida A&M Rattlers Saturday evening in the Al Lawson Center in Tallahassee, FL.

The Lady Eagles (5-11, 2-2) went 1-2 in three consecutive road Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference (MEAC) road games.

Jordan Swails notched a double double in the setback. She tied a career best with 20 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.

Swails also knocked down six of her eight foul shots.

Keena Samuels continued her hot shooting stroke scoring 16 points. She added five rebounds, four assists and three steals in 39 minutes of game action.

Samuels shot 8-of-16 accuracy from the field.

Janelle Lane scored 14 points on 7-10 shooting. She added two rebounds in 30 minutes on the court.

Amber Griffin tallied 12 points, four assists, four rebounds and one steal.

Griffin went a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.

Genesis Lucas led the Lady Eagles with a team best five assists. She scored five points, grabbed two rebounds and claimed two steals in a team high 40 minutes.

Coppin State forced FAMU into 22 turnovers, while only committing 20 turnovers themselves.

Florida A&M (10-9, 4-2) has won four consecutive MEAC games.

Olivia Antilla led the Rattlers with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Khadejra Young finished with 16 points and seven rebounds for FAMU.

Coppin State will return home for action Saturday January 23 to square off against the North Carolina A&T Aggies. Tipoff is at 2:00 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex in Baltimore.Â
