BALTIMORE – Coppin State University women's basketball has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featured by a historic home matchup against eight-time NCAA National Champion Tennessee on Thursday, November 5, inside PEC Arena.
One of the most anticipated home games in program history, the matchup will bring one of the most decorated programs in women's college basketball to the Charm City. The clash with the Lady Vols also marks the sixth-straight season that Coppin has hosted a Power Conference team.
Five games against Power Conference opponents highlight an ambitious non-conference slate, with road contests at Maryland, West Virginia, Rutgers and SMU.
Head Coach
Darrell Mosley and the Eagles open the season at home Monday, November 2, hosting Cheyney at 6 pm. Tennessee arrives in Baltimore three days later for the November 5 showdown.
A three-game road swing follows, beginning November 9 at Central Connecticut State before trips to Hofstra two days later and Maryland on November 18.
William & Mary visits Baltimore on Tuesday, November 24 for an 11 am contest before the Eagles travel to Richmond, Va., for the 4 Tha Culture Hoops Classic on November 27-28 to play VCU and the Richmond Spiders. November concludes with a trip to West Virginia on November 30.
December features a mix of home and road challenges, beginning with Towson visiting the PEC Arena on December 3. Additional home competition comes against Monmouth on December 11, while road contests are scheduled at UMBC, LIU, Rutgers, SMU and Dayton.
Conference play begins Saturday, January 2, when Delaware State visits Baltimore for a 2 pm tipoff. The six other MEAC teams will also make trips to PEC Arena along with non-conference tilts against Lincoln (Pa.) and Washington Adventist.
A pair of marquee home dates highlight the conference portion of the schedule. North Carolina Central comes to West Baltimore for Homecoming on Saturday, February 13 at 2 pm, while Morgan State visits for Senior Night on Thursday, March 4 at 5:30 pm.
