HAMPTON, Va. – Coppin State closed out its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series to Hampton with a doubleheader setback by scores of 8-0 and 9-0 Sunday afternoon at Lady Pirates Stadium.
Senior
Candice Van Horn led the Eagles (3-30 overall, 3-12 MEAC) with a hit in both games, including a double to right center in the first outing. She tops the team with a .388 batting average.
Juniors
Danielle Smith and
Kimberlynn Brown along with senior
Samantha Denlinger also had hits on the day.
Coppin State will close of the 2015 season with a three-game set against Morgan State. Seniors
