BALTIMORE – Seven different Coppin State players registered at least one hit during a 9-6 setback to UMBC in a non-conference baseball game at Alumni Field Wednesday night. 
Leading Coppin State's offense was senior 
Alejandro Hernandez, who had a pair of hits, including a double. It was Hernandez's first multi-hit game of the season.  
Jeffrey Fitch and 
George Dragon delivered RBI singles in the third-inning that helped the Eagles pull to within, 3-2. During a three-run fifth inning, the Eagles got a sacrifice fly from 
Bryant Miranda and RBI singles from 
Randal Mendez and 
Lance Montano. 
Later in the game, Miranda drove in his 17th run of the season with an infield single. It was Miranda's fourth multi RBI game of the season. 
Jesse Kraft was active on the bases as walked twice, singled and scored a pair of runs. 
The pitching combination of 
Chris Estrada and 
Desean Rabb combined to allow one run over the final 4.2 innings. 
Coppin State returns to action this weekend when it hosts Delaware State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) three-game series. It will be the Eagles' final home series of the season. Coppin State will celebrate Alumni Day Saturday afternoon and Senior Day on Sunday.
