Jeffrey Fitch had Coppin State's only hit during a 13-0 non-conference baseball defeat to Georgetown at Shirley Povich Field Tuesday afternoon.
Fitch singled in the second inning for his 23rd hit of the season. He is hitting .296, which is second on the team. Coppin State starting pitcher Chris Vasquez allowed one earned run in three solid innings. Also reaching base for the Eagles with walks were
Colin Dower, Jack Kraft,
Alejandro Hernandez and
Randal Mendez.
Coppin State returns to action Wednesday night when it visits UMBC for a 6:00 p.m. at Alumni Field.
