BALTIMORE- The Coppin State women's bowling competed hard during its weekend at the second of three Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Meet in the capital city of Dover, DE.

The makeshift Eagles bowling roster featured three student-athletes from different sports. Ashley Milo of the women's tennis team and Alanna Williams and Melanie Benge of the softball stepped in for the injured
Kristen Sharpe and
Shelby Mendoza and
Shawdae Frederick were out of town with prior obligations.

Jasmine Newman set a team and season high with a 220 individual game against Maryland Eastern Shore. She finished the weekend with a 725 total pinfall in four games bowled.

For the weekend, she averaged a 181.25 total pinfall. It was her fourth career 200 game. Newman has a team high 3,318 total pinfall through four tournaments this season.

Erica Monk finished second on the team with a 596 total pinfall in four matches. She bowled her weekend high of 169 against Morgan State. She averaged a 149 pinfall at the weekend tournament.

Coppin State will return to the lanes after the winter break on January 22-24, 2016 for the Kutztown University Invitational at Hiester Lanes in Reading, PA.Â
