BALTIMORE – Coppin State's bowling team finished the weekend at the FDU Jamboree.
The Eagles went 3-11 after three days of competition. Coppin State went 1-10 in team matches and 2-1 in Baker games.
During Saturday's team matches, Coppin State pushed past Virginia State, 757-739. On Sunday, the Eagles rallied to beat Pitt-Bradford (4-3) and Caldwell (4-2) in Baker games.
The FDU Jamboree is no easy tournament, hosting some of the best bowling teams in the nation.
"This was one of the top ranked tournaments of the season," coach
Ty Robinson said. "17 of the teams there are ranked in the top 25. Our performance this weekend could've been much better but when you face top 25 programs they show your weaknesses right away. Sunday we raised our level of play by winning two games in the final frame."

The Eagles head to Washington, D.C. for the first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division Meet of the season. As the team prepares, they know there is plenty of work to get done.
"We need to work extremely hard, change our training, and hope it pays off going into the MEAC this weekend," Robinson said.
