2014: Helped Coppin State advance to the MEAC semifinals for the second straight season….Played in 25 matches and 81 sets…Averaged 1.89 kills per set, 0.91 digs per set and 0.36 blocks per set….Finished with 153 kills…Had six matches of 10 or more kills, including a career-high 16 against Bethune-Cookman in the MEAC quarterfinals (11/21)…Had 14 kills against Hampton (10/3)…Had 74 digs…Notched first double-double (11 kills and 11 digs) and had a .400 hitting percentage against LaSalle (9/5)…Collected 29 blocks…Had a career-best seven against Norfolk State (10/26).
High School: Horner finished her sterling career with 2,375 kills, 196 blocks, 1,208 digs, and 333 aces, and 1,060 service points. She holds the school, county and district records in kills and digs plus the school record for kills in a set, match, season, and career. Horner was named all four years to the All-District 8-AAA team and was the most valuable player this year. An all-state pick in 2012, Horner was also an All-Region 4-AAA pick for the last three seasons. Horner was picked a MaxPrep/AVCA "Player of the Week" in 2011, 2012 and twice in 2013. Horner, who also played on a TMSAA Sectional championship team at E.O. Cox, has been an honor roll student since entering Central. Horner's Alliance Volleyball Club captured the SRVA championship in Power is 2009 and 2010. She was a member of the first and probably the only Tennessee team to win a national qualifier in the Open Division in 2011. The Alliance team finished 9th in USAV Nationals Open in 2010, 12th in USAV Nationals Open in 2011, 14th in USAV Nationals Open in 2012, and 12th in 2013 AAU Nationals. She has participated in five national tournaments.
