2013 (Sophomore): Named to the All-MEAC Volleyball Academic Team. Appeared in all 31 matches and played a total of 110 sets. She led the Eagles with 1,045 assists. Sauni also finished with 167 digs, 40 kills, 36 blocks, and 13 service aces. She had double digit assists in 29 games this season. She finished with 30 or more assists 19 times this season. Ended the season by registering 40 or more kills in eight of her final 10 matches, including a stretch of six straight matches (Oct. 20-Nov. 8). She had a season-high 57 assists in a 3-2 victory over Florida A&M in the MEAC semifinals. She had 53 assists against Hampton on Oct. 25. Sauni had three matches in which she had 10 or more digs, including a season-high 12 against Towson on Sept. 3.
2012 (Freshman): Appeared in all 25 matches on the season…Played in 88 sets…Led the Eagles with 761 assists…Averaged 8.65 assists per set, which ranked fifth in the MEAC…Was fourth on the team with 145 digs…Had a career-best 46 assists in two matches…Notched 46 assists versus Morgan State (10/19)…Also had 46 assists in the Eagles 3-0 victory versus Delaware State (11/2)…Notched 44 assists in Coppin State’s 3-1 victory versus North Carolina A&T (8/31)…Had 12 matches with at least 30 assists…Recorded a career-best 12 digs versus Howard (10/12)…Had 11 digs and 43 assists against Bethune-Cookman (10/21)…Posted 10 digs versus Hampton (9/30)…Alos had 11 service aces and 16 blocks on the year…Posted a .153 hitting percentage…Had a career-best four kills in the Eagles victory at Morgan State (9/23)…Had 21 assists against Florida A&M (11/16) in the MEAC Tournament.
