Biography

2018 (Junior): 3rd Team All-MEAC and was a 2x MEAC Pitcher of the Week while also garnering College Sports Madness Player of the Week once… Had all 14 of CSU’s wins from the circle, going 14-12 with a 3.29 ERA… Threw 24 complete games with three shutouts, striking out 181 batters in 183.0 innings of work… Was even more impressive in conference play, going 10-6 with a 2.02 earned run average while striking out 104 in 100.2 innings, holding batters to a .243 average… 14 complete games in 15 starts and two shutouts… Had double-digit strikeouts in five games, including a dominant two-hit shutout with a career-high 15 strikeouts against Howard which clinched CSU’s spot in the MEAC Tournament (5/2)… Performance against the Bison earned her College Sports Madness weekly honors… Fanned 11 in a 9-0, five-inning win over St. Bonaventure while allowing just three hits (3/10)… Allowed no earned runs while giving up just three hits and striking out 12 in opener against MD Eastern Shore (3/27)… Earned the win in relief in game two against the Hawks and also struck out another nine in the finale while earning the win… Picked up Coppin’s first victory against Delaware State since 2012 (3/31)… Another 11 strikeouts in win over Howard while allowing three runs (4/6)… Took tough extra-inning loss to Mount St. Mary’s despite striking out 11 and giving up two runs on five hits (4/18)… Threw every inning of the Morgan State series, earning a game one win, a three-hit, 1-0 shutout win with seven strikeouts (4/28)… Came away the loser in finale at Morgan State despite not allowing an earned run and giving up just four hits (4/29)… Allowed four earned runs on eight hits in Tournament loss to eventual MEAC Champion Bethune-Cookman (5/9)… Threw complete game 12.1 innings and allowed just two earned runs while striking out six in MEAC Tournament loss to Hampton (5/10).

Madison's career ambition is to earn her RHIA and work in a hospital. In high school she played softball. There, she was honorable mention all-league (2012-2013), first team pitcher (2014), and all-league MVP (2015).
