NORFOLK, Va. - Coppin State's
Eva Rovello has been named the MEAC Volleyball Setter of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. This is the first weekly award that Rovello has earned in her CSU career.

A junior from Vigneux de Bretagne, France, Rovello earned Hokie Invitational All-Tournament Team honors as the Eagles opened the season with a victory over William & Mary before falling to Kent State and Virginia Tech. Rovello averaged 7.54 assists and 2.15 digs per set while adding 11 kills on a team-high .440 hitting percentage, six blocks and five aces.

Rovello opened the season with a strong performance in Coppin State's four-set victory over William & Mary, recording 33 assists and nine digs to go with five kills, two blocks and an ace. Less than an hour later, she posted a double-double with 38 assists and ten digs to go with three kills, three blocks and a pair of aces against Kent State.Â

She capped the weekend finishing a dig shy of a double-double once again, totaling 27 assists and nine digs to go with three kills, two aces and a block against Virginia Tech.

Coppin returns to action this weekend at Navy's Kristen Dickmann Invitational on September 4-5. Friday's matchup against the Midshipmen is set for 6 pm on ESPN+ and the Eagles will face Penn (11 am) and Stony Brook (7 pm) on Saturday.
