Chung Leads Men’s Golf With Fourth-Place Finish at Windy City Classic

OAK FOREST, Ill. – The Coppin State men's golf team finished second at The Windy City Classic, shooting a +74 (938) over three rounds at George Dunne National Golf Course. Coppin finished 15 shots behind host Chicago State, while Brent Chung led Coppin State with a fourth-place individual finish.
 
Marcos Cordoba and Tzari Baines tied for fifth overall, while Mylhian Todem placed eighth as an individual.
 
Chung opened the tournament with a 3-over-par 75, highlighted by four birdies. He followed with consecutive rounds of 78, including an eagle on the par-5, 540-yard 11th hole during the final round.
 
Cordoba carded rounds of 80, 74 and 78, finishing with nine birdies over the three rounds. Baines delivered one of the Eagles' most consistent performances, posting rounds of 78, 76 and 78 while recording three birdies.
 
Competing as an individual, Todem shot 80, 77 and 78, with three birdies coming over the final two rounds.
 
Jevahn Sathasivam finished 11th overall with rounds of 82, 79 and 82. He opened his tournament with three consecutive birdies on the back nine.
 
Alexei Voice rounded out the Eagles' lineup with rounds of 82, 88 and 85. He recorded three birdies during the opening round.
 
Coppin concludes the Fall portion of its schedule on October 23-25 at USC Upstate's Fripp Island Intercollegiate, held at Ocean Creek GC in Fripp Island, S.C.
