Volleyball Unveils 2025 Season Schedule Featuring 16 Home Matches

BALTIMORE – Coppin State head volleyball coach Tim Walsh unveiled the Eagles' 2025 season schedule on Monday morning. The 2025 slate features 16 home games as well as the Charm City Classic on September 12-13 featuring matches against Lafayette, Penn, Iona and Princeton.
 
CSU opens the season at the Aggie/Phoenix Invitational on August 29-30 with a pair of familiar foes.  After taking on Elon on Friday night to open the weekend, Coppin faces off against Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina A&T in Greensboro.
 
The following week, Coppin travels to Morgantown for the West Virginia Invitational to play Liberty, North Dakota and the host Mountaineers.
 
In a Battle of the Beltway clash, Georgetown marks Coppin's home opener on Wednesday, September 10, just prior to the Charm City Classic two nights later. 
 
Big Ten member, Maryland, also visits PEC Arena for Education Day on September 16, marking the first time the schools separated by 30 miles have played each other.
 
Coppin will also visit George Mason for its Classic on September 18-19 along with Rutgers, with a trip to College Park for a neutral site matchup against Seton Hall on Saturday.
 
MEAC play opens on Friday, September 26 at Howard and the Eagles will have a home-and-home matchup against all seven conference rivals.   Coppin also hosts NJIT (Oct. 21), UMBC (Oct. 29) and Towson (Nov. 12) in midweek action during conference action before Senior Night on November 14 against archrival Morgan State.
 
Coppin State has been selected as the hosts of the 2025 and 2026 MEAC Tournament.  This year's Tournament will be held on November 20-22 at PEC Arena with an awards ceremony and banquet to be held the day prior to competition.
