BALTIMORE – Coppin State's men's basketball team allowed Delaware State to shoot 61% from the floor in the first half and was unable to rally, falling 84-61 on Saturday afternoon at PEC Arena. The Eagles fell to 3-18 overall and 1-5 in the MEAC while the Hornets moved to 11-10 on the year and 3-3 in league play.

- Toby Nnadozie led all players with 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting to go with four rebounds and two steals.
- Jonathan Dunn was the only other CSU player in double figures with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting.
- Peter Oduro just missed out on a double-double, recording nine points and nine rebounds while matching Julius Ellerbe III with three assists apiece.
- Camaren Sparrow contributed on both sides of the ball, recording five points, seven rebounds and three steals.
- Delaware State outshot Coppin, 52.3% to 37.7% and held a 40-35 advantage on the glass, leading to 15 second-chance points. The Hornets also scored 21 points off 16 Eagles turnovers.
How it Happened
- The teams traded baskets to start the game with Dunn converting on a layup to tie the score at two.
- Delaware State scored the next 11 points before Dunn got the Eagles on the board once again at the 14:20 mark.
- DSU continued to extend its advantage with another 14-0 run and led at the half, 52-22 after leading by as many as 50-15 at the 1:20 mark.
- Coppin fought its way back into the game with an 11-2 run midway through the second half, capped off by a dunk from Nnadozie in transition to pull within 64-49 with 9:48 left.
- A 7-0 run Hornets run got their lead back to over 20 and they never looked back.
