Baseball Announces 2026 Season Schedule with 29 Home Games at Joe Cannon Stadium

BALTIMORE – Coppin State head baseball coach Sherman Reed released the Eagles' 2026 schedule today, unveiling a challenging 51-game docket which features 29 home games at Joe Cannon Stadium. The slate includes a pair of non-conference weekend series' against Lafayette and La Salle at 'The Joe,' as well as a weekend series at National powerhouse Oklahoma.
 
CSU opens the season at home with three games against the Leopards on February 13-15 and a midweek against Mount St. Mary's before getting on a flight to face the Sooners on February 20-22.  The Eagles return home for another midweek against Navy and a series against the Explorers before returning the trip against the Midshipmen the following week.
 
Northeast Conference play opens for Coppin against Mercyhurst on March 6-8 and Coppin litters the rest of the schedule with midweeks at Richmond (March 10), UMBC (March 24), Towson (April 7), Lehigh (April 14), at Mount St. Mary's (April 28) and at UMBC (May 5).
 
Among the NEC opponents traveling to Joe Cannon Stadium are Maryland Eastern Shore (March 20-22), Central Connecticut State (April 10-12), LIU (April 17-19), New Haven (May 1-3) and Delaware State (May 14-16).
 
The NEC Tournament is scheduled for May 21-24 with the top four teams advancing to the double-elimination bracket.
