BALTIMORE - Coppin State's men's basketball team got contributions from all healthy players in a 103-62 rout of Central Penn College in front of nearly 3,000 fans at PEC Arena on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles improved to 1-6 on the season with their highest scoring output since scoring 107 points in a win over James Madison on December 21, 2022.
All 12 players who entered the game for the Eagles found the bottom of the net, led by
Torrin Andrews with 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals. Andrews hit 8-of-12 from the floor and four 3-pointers and was one of four CSU players in double figures.
DeMariontay Hall had 18 points and nine rebounds in just 12 minutes of action and he was accompanied by
Khali Horton with 13 and
Josiah Brown with 12.
Favour Aire and
Daveyon Lydner added nine points apiece, followed by
Hussain Williams with seven and
Jamari Piercy with six.
Chris Morgan had three points and four rebounds in his CSU debut and the trio of
Hassan Perkins,
Tyler Koenig and
Camaren Sparrow all had two points each.
CSU outshot Central Penn, 49.4% to 33.8%, outrebounded the Knights, 55-30 and had 20 assists.
The Eagles held a commanding 54-23 lead at the half after shooting 50% from the floor with seven 3-pointers and 25 second-chance points.
