BALTIMORE – Four Eagles scored in double figures as Coppin State's men's basketball team fell at Morgan State, 80-64, on Saturday afternoon at Hill Field House. The Eagles fell to 3-17 on the year and 1-4 in the MEAC while the Bears moved to 9-12 overall and 3-2 in league play.

- Khali Horton led Coppin with 15 points while hitting a pair of threes, to go with four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- Peter Oduro notched a double-double with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting, to go with a career-high 11 rebounds.
- Toby Nnadozie added 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals and Julius Ellerbe III made his return to action, recording ten points and four points off the bench.
- Jonathan Dunn chipped in with nine points while the rest of the CSU roster combined for just six points.
- Coppin was outshot, 43.9% to 37.1% and made just 14-of-27 (51.9%) from the free throw line.
How it Happened
- Coppin played virtually even with the Bears for much of the first half, but the Bears went on a 7-1 run, capped off by a dunk to go up 32-21 with 5:58 remaining.
- Horton came right back with a three to get back within eight, but Morgan extended its advantage back to 11 at the break at 42-31.
- Morgan opened the second half on a 13-3 run to extend its lead to 55-34 with 14:49 left in regulation.
- Over the next several minutes, Coppin clawed its way back into the game with Oduro and Nnadozie leading the way.
- CSU cut the deficit to within 63-53 with 7:07 remaining, but Morgan pulled away once again with a 15-3 run.
