HANOVER, Md. – Jobe Olson tossed three shutout innings and
Gabe Breckenridge had a pair of hits and an RBI, leading Team Navy to a 5-2 victory in the opening game of the Coppin State Baseball Fall Intersquad Series.
Navy Offensive Stars
- Sophomore Gabe Breckenridge went 2-for-3 with a double and single while driving in two runs. He also scored Team Navy's second run in the third inning.
- JUCO transfer Pranav Sundar went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk. He drove in Breckenridge with his base knock.
Gold Offensive Stars
- Freshman Noah Hogan and Herick Vital both had their first Fall collegiate hits.
- JUCO transfer Gavin Grutzmacher went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI single while scoring Team Gold's second run of the game.
- Redshirt freshman Jamar Whitehead went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.
Navy Pitching Stars
- JUCO transfer Jobe Olson tossed three shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four.
Gold Pitching Stars
- Sophomore Kaden Straily went 2.1 innings, allowing just two hits and a walk while striking out three.
