BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Coppin State's baseball team has been picked to finish seventh in the 2024 Northeast Conference Preseason Poll, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. The Eagles, who finished 21-31 overall and 14-16 in the NEC last season, were tied in the poll with Stonehill.
Central Connecticut received ten first place votes and are the preseason favorites, followed by Wagner with two first place votes, Sacred Heart, Fairleigh Dickinson, Long Island University and Merrimack. Maryland Eastern Shore and Le Moyne are tied for ninth with Delaware State and Norfolk State rounding out the poll.
The Eagles finished in a tie for sixth place in their inaugural season as an associate member of the NEC in 2023, missing out on the conference tournament via tiebreakers.
