STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – All eight players who entered the game for the Eagles scored, but the Coppin State men's basketball team fell at Wagner, 65-52, on Wednesday night at Spiro Athletic Center. The Eagles fell to 0-10 on the season while the Seahawks evened their record at 4-4.

- Julius Ellerbe led Coppin with 11 points while Jonathan Dunn was the only other Eagles player in double figures with ten points. Ellerbe hit 6-of-8 free throws and Dunn made 4-of-6 from the floor and both of his free throws.
- Toby Nnadozie and Camaren Sparrow had six points apiece, followed by Khali Horton, Peter Oduro and Cam'Ron Brown five points piece each and Zahree Harrison with four.
- Nnadozie was credited with a team-high five rebounds and added two steals while Sparrow had three swipes.
- Brown dished out three assists and both Ellerbe and Harrison had a pair each.
- Coppin shot just 37.5% from the floor compared to 41.3% by the Seahawks who made seven 3-pointers and 20-of-26 from the line.
- The Eagles shot 17-of-22 (77.3%) from the line but were outrebounded, 35-23.
How it Happened
- Wagner scored the game's first six points before Nnadozie put Coppin on the board with a three at the 16:51 mark.
- The Seahawks answered the bucket with a three of their own and added four more points to go up double digits at 13-3.
- After falling behind, 18-7, Coppin went on an 11-3 run, cutting the deficit to a single basket with 6:09 remaining as Horton buried a three and Dunn recorded another four points.
- Wagner closed the period with eight of the final 11 points, taking a 28-21 lead into the half.
- The second half started poorly for the Eagles as the Seahawks scored 11 straight points, extending their lead 39-21 before a layup by Dunn stopped the drought with 13:22 left.
- Coppin was only able to pull within 11 points with just under a minute to play.
