BALTIMORE – Coppin State head baseball coach
Sherman Reed served as a keynote speaker at the I95 Metro Baseball Stadium Series Showcase, held last week in Trenton, N.J., as well as this week in Brooklyn, N.Y. Over 250 athletes and their families from 44 different states and four countries were in attendance.
Now in its sixth season, over 600 athletes from the showcase went on to play at the collegiate level, including 150 Division I players.
Reed just completed his 13
th season at the helm of the Eagles baseball program and is the winningest coach in school history. This past season, it's first as an associate member of the Northeast Conference, Coppin won 21 games, including 14 NEC games. It was the fourth time in the last five full seasons that the Eagles won at least 20 games.
