BALTIMORE – Luka Markovic and Vansh Kapoor combined for a doubles win and each won their singles matches, as did Rishi Jalota, but the Coppin State men's tennis team was edged at Loyola Maryland, 4-3 on Thursday afternoon at McClure Tennis Center.

Markovic and Kapoor were slotted at No. 1 doubles and picked up a 7-5 victory over Loyola's Nick Lawliss and Nick Haggar.  Jalota and Anas Haddou dropped a 6-3 decision in the second slot, and the Greyhounds won by default at No. 3 to pick up the doubles point.

After dropping the first set, Markovic responded with a 6-0 victory in the set, followed by an 11-9 win in the third to earn the victory at No. 2. Kapoor (7-5, 6-4) and Jalota (6-4, 7-6) won in straight sets at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.
