NEW CASTLE, Del. – Logan Brown and Elizabeth Stokely led Coppin State's bowling team to a tenth place finish out of 20 schools at the Griffin Baker Classic this weekend at Bowlerama. The Eagles finished 6-3 on the weekend, averaging 181.4 per game with 8,163 total pins.
Coppin opened the Tournament with four-straight wins, including a 968-832 victory over #13 Delaware State in the second match. The Eagles also picked up wins over St. Thomas Aquinas, Howard and Bloomfield before falling to 14
th-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson.
On Saturday, CSU defeated Long Island University and Norfolk State, but dropped matches to Wilmington and Kutztown.
Brown led Coppin with an 19.58 average per frame while recording a 47.6 strike percentage and 74.4 makeable spare percentage. Stokely was second to Brown with a 19.52 average per frame along with a 45.6 strike percentage and 72.4 makeable spare rate.
