Volleyball's Ashley Roman Named MEAC Defensive Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Ashley Roman was named the MEAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office.

A senior from Isabela, P.R., Roman tallied 25 digs in a midweek matchup against Loyola University Maryland before being named to the All-Tournament Team following the Virginia Tech Invitational. Roman opened the weekend with ten digs against the host Hokies before recording 15 against Old Dominion.

Roman and the Eagles are set to host American University at 6 pm on Tuesday, September 6 at PEC Arena.
