LYNCHBURG, Va. – Coppin State's volleyball team won the Liberty Tournament Title with a 3-1 (26-24, 25-20, 18-25, 25-16) victory over the host Flames before a 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-23) sweep of Radford on Saturday afternoon at Liberty Arena.  With the pair of wins, the Eagles are on a seven-match winning streak and have won a school-record nine non-conference matches already this season.
 
Following the Tournament, 
Andrea Tsvetanova was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player.  
Yaniris Miller-Green was named the Best Blocker and 
Ashley Roman the Best Libero.
 
Coppin State 3, Liberty 1
 
Inside the Numbers
	- Miajavon Coleman and Ammaarah Williams tied for a match-high 11 kills while Yaniris Miller-Green and Hope Casel had nine kills apiece.
- Coleman notched a double-double with 12 digs and hit .194 while adding two blocks and two aces.
- Williams hit .162 to go with six digs, three blocks and three aces.
- Miller-Green did not record an error and hit .450 on 20 swings while leading all players with eight blocks.
- Ahzhi Coleman chipped in with four kills.
- Andrea Tsvetanova assisted on 39 kills along with two of her own along with seven digs, two blocks and four aces.
- Ashley Roman led all players with 20 digs.
- Coppin tallied 13 aces in the match as Gabi Theut had a pair as Roman and Kennedy Beatty added one each.

Inside the Numbers
	- Ammaarah Williams and Yaniris Miller-Green led the Eagles with 11 and ten kills, respectively, with Miller-Green hitting .500 on 16 swings. Williams added seven digs and three aces as well.
- Hope Casel added eight kills and Miajavon Coleman had seven more to go with a match-high 14 digs.
- Ahzhi Coleman chipped in with a pair of kills and led Coppin with three blocks.
- Andrea Tsvetanova continued to impress in the service game, tallying four aces to give her an even 50 on the season which leads NCAA Division I.  Tsvetanova now has 101 aces in her CSU career to rank fourth in school-history.
- Tsvetanova recorded 35 assists and four digs as Coppin hit .133 compared to just .053 for Radford. Her 35 assists were the second-most in her career in a three-set match.
- Ashley Roman added 13 digs and three aces while Kennedy Beatty tallied eight digs and two aces.
Up Next: Coppin is set to host UMBC in its final non-conference match on Tuesday, September 20 at 6pm.  The Eagles open MEAC play with four-straight home matches, starting with South Carolina State on Friday, September 23 and North Carolina Central on Sunday, September 25.
