After Tying in Game 2, Team Navy Prevails in Game 3 to Even Fall Baseball Series

Team Navy Pitching Stars:
  • Freshman Christian Pareja had a stellar 2 inning shutout Performance with 5 Strikeouts: 1 BB; 1 Hit
  • Junior Tyler Nichol closed out the shutout with 2 effective innings: 2 BB; 0 Hits; 4 Ks
 
Team Navy Offensive Stars:
  • Senior Corey Miley walked and scored Navy's only run on a walk to junior Sam Nieves who was credited with the only RBI of the Game
  • Junior Jordan Hamberg singled to right in the third inning to advance Miley to second. Senior Brian Nicolas followed with a bunt single to load the bases, setting Sam Nieves to record the only RBI with a walk.
 
Team Gold Pitching Stars:
  • Junior Giovanni Canales continued his dominant Fall with two shutout innings and three Strikeouts while allowing just one hit.
  • Sophomore Marcos Herrand got the save for Navy, tossing a 1-2-3 Inning with two strikeouts
 
Team Gold Offensive Stars:
  • Freshman Angel Colon recorded Gold's only hit when he doubled down the left field line in the opening inning.

Game 2
Team Navy Pitching Stars:
 
  • Junior Jordan Hamberg retired all six batters he faced to open the game with no balls leaving the infield.  He struck out three.
  • Freshman Juan Pablo Hernadez-Morales was impressive in his debut, pitching two shutout innings: 3 K's; 2 BB; 0 Hits
 
Navy Offensive Stars:
 
  • Junior Mario Cuevas went 2 for 2.
  • Freshman Keith Gardner went 1 for 2 with a Double to the left center field alley in his first at bat in the 1st inning
 
Team Gold Pitching Stars:
 
  • Senior Matt Perkins pitched two scoreless innings in middle relief, facing the minimum six batters: 1 K; 0 BB
  • Sophomore Liam McCallum with the aid of Junior Nico Felber combined for four scoreless innings to close out the late rally attempt of Team Navy
 
Gold Offensive Stars:
 
  • Junior Noah Murciano spoiled the combined attempt of a no-hitter with an opposite field Line Single to left in 4th inning
