  • The Eagles are now just one victory shy of matching the school-record for single-season wins, set last season when they went 16-12.
How it Happened
  • Delaware State hit well over .400 in the first two sets while Coppin struggled with 12 kills and 15 errors during those frames.
  • The Hornets closed the second set on an 11-0 run after kills from Miajavon Coleman and Hope Casel cut CSU's deficit to just 14-11.
  • Coppin cut an early 7-2 deficit in the third set into a 17-14 lead which was its largest of the set.  Delaware State responded with five-straight points to regain the advantage and held a slim lead until getting its first match-point at 24-22.
  • Following a bad set by DSU, Miller-Green tied the score at 24-24 with a kill before Tsvetanova was credited with an ace to give CSU the 25-24 lead.
  • Miller-Green then finished off the Hornets with a kill to force a fourth set.
  • Coppin never trailed in the fourth set and got some breathing room with a 7-1 run midway through, featuring two kills and a block from Williams and four Hornets attacking errors.
  • Williams and Miller-Green collected three kills to close out the session.
  • Coppin got out to an early lead in the fifth with a pair of kills from Miller-Green and another from Williams but DSU did not go away and held a 9-6 advantage.
  • CSU rallied to tie the score at 13-13 and faced another match-point as the Hornets got a kill to go up 14-13.
  • Miller-Green tied the score with a kill before the trio of Miajavon Coleman, Tsvetanova and Palacios combined for a block to give the Eagles its first match-point.
  • After an overpass, Tsvetanova set up Palacios for the match-winning kill which sent the CSU bench and crowd into a frenzy.
