Preseason Chatter
The Eagles were tied for seventh in the MEAC pre-season poll with Norfolk State in the predicted order of finish.
Coppin is coming off a season where they won three matches against nationally ranked opponents and were named a NTCA All-Academic Team.
The Eagles earned votes in the NTCA Poll for the first time since the 2007-08 season and also picked up votes in the Final Poll.
Top Returners
Kaylah Castillo, who owns a school-record 175.57 average in traditional matches, returns for Coppin, as does sophomore
Logan Brown. Brown was one of the top freshmen in the MEAC last season, leading the Eagles with a 181.85 average.
Newcomers
