Raja Anderson Named MEAC Bowling Rookie of the Week for Second Time

NORFOLK, Va. – For the second time this season, Coppin State's Raja Anderson has been named the MEAC Bowling Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday morning. Anderson's two Rookie honors this season is tied for the most in the conference.

A freshman from Stafford, Va., Anderson led the Eagles at the Bowl for the Kure Tournament hosted by Molloy College this past weekend.  Finishing 25th in the individual standings, Anderson averaged a 182.6 in five traditional matches, eclipsing the 200-pin mark twice with matches of 214 and 205.

This season, Anderson has averaged a 175.29 in traditional play with a team-high 4,908 total pins in 28 matches.  Her five matches of 200 or better is tied for the team lead.

Coppin State returns to the lanes on February 14-16 at the James Brown Invitational at AMF Towson Lanes.
