BALTIMORE – Coming off its best year since 2014 with nearly its entire roster returning, including All-Conference performer
Miajavon Coleman, the Coppin State volleyball schedule has been released for the 2019 season. The 30 match slate features nine home matches, including a non-conference tilt against Siena, four early-season tournaments and 15 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matchups.
Coppin State opens the season at the University Delaware Classic on August 30-31, where the Eagles will open with Binghamton University, West Virginia and the host Blue Hens before hosting Siena the very next day at 5 pm in the friendly confines of the PEC Arena.
CSU will then make a trip to El Paso, Texas for the UTEP Borderland Invitational on September 6-7 with dates against the Miners and Corpus Christi before heading to Providence, R.I. on September 13-14 to face Brown, the Friars and Fairleigh Dickinson.
Prior to making another road trip to Morehead State on September 20-21, the Navy & Gold will make a crosstown trip to Loyola University Maryland on September 17 for a 7 pm clash.
MEAC play opens in late September with the Eagles hosting Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore on September 27 and September 29, respectively, with a short trip to UMBC to follow on October 1.
CSU welcomes MEAC South rivals North Carolina A&T on October 4 for its 'Aces for Autism Night' and North Carolina Central on October 6 before going on the road for four-straight conference matches, including trips to Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman.
Concluding its five-match road trip with Towson on October 23, the Eagles return home for four-straight MEAC matches once again, with South Carolina State (October 27 – 'Spike for Sandy Day), Morgan State (October 29), Norfolk State (November 1) and Howard (November 3) coming to town. The clash with the Spartans on Friday will feature 'Senior Night,' with four-year standouts

With hopes of qualifying for its second-straight MEAC Tournament, hosted by Howard on November 22-24, Coppin closes out the regular season with three-straight road matches at Morgan State, Delaware State and Maryland Eastern Shore.
For the second-straight season, all home matches will feature live video streaming with radio broadcasts by WNST 1570 AM and Fox Sports Williamsport to accompany the action for matches against Maryland Eastern Shore, North Carolina Central, South Carolina State and Howard.
