BALTIMORE – Coppin State bowling head coach
Shaunita Middleton announced that
Raja Anderson and
Sydney Tyler have signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Eagles during the 2019-20 season.

A native of Stafford, Va., Anderson finished third overall in the 55
th Annual Youth Championship Tournament in 2018. Just recently, Anderson bowled a high-game of 298 during her youth league competition.
"Raja has been a consistent leader on her youth league team and brings plenty of energy and competitiveness," said Middleton. "I'm excited for the talent and eagerness that she brings; a team player that will make everyone around her better because she's going to make you compete at your highest level day in and day out."

Tyler comes to Coppin out of Lincoln-Way High School, just outside of Chicago, Ill. Helping her team to a 2019 State Finals appearance, Tyler took first in the 2019 Team Challenge, fourth in the Pepsi State Tournament and fifth in the Illinois State Youth Tournament.
"Sydney has made it clear that she's passionate and hungry for this game and that's what I love as a coach. She's a sponge and ready to observe any necessary knowledge to propel her game even further and pass the success and accomplishments she has already fulfilled. Her techniques and fundamentals will be a huge asset at this level and I see her doing big things in this program during her collegiate years."
