BALTIMORE - The Coppin State Lady Eagles play their final two home games of the season, starting with a Homecoming battle against Howard on Saturday, February 23. Two nights later, they will host Delaware State for Senior Night at 5:30 pm on Monday, February 25.

Coppin Contributors
Coppin features arguably the top 1-2 punch in the conference with
Brooke Fields and
Chance Graham with the duo combining for 32.9 points, good for 59.15 of the team's points this season. Fields leads the team with 17.2 points this season, but has increased that total to 20.9 points in league play which ranks second in the MEAC. Fields is also third in MEAC games with an 82.0% free throw percentage, despite making and attempting the most free throws in the league, and third in assists (3.8). Graham averages a double-double with 15.7 points and her 12.0 rebounds leads the MEAC and is the 8th-best in the Nation. Graham also puts up nearly two steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
Kaiya Coleman scored a season-high 16 points with five 3-pointers last game and the Eagles will need contributions from her, as well as
Maraiyah Smith,
Tsahai Corbie,
E'Mya Price,
Jalynda Salley and
Oluwadamilola Oloyede.
Scouting the Howard Bison
The Bison feature a well-balanced attack with four players in double figures. They are led by
Sarah Edmond's 15.9 points per game while
Jayla Thornton and
Ayonna Williams put up just over 12 points per game as well.
Krislyn Marsh is also at 10.3 points per game but no other Howard player is over five points. Williams and Edmond are the primary distributors as well as they each are close to ofur assists per game while Marsh and
Imani Bryant both grab over seven rebounds per game. Williams is also a great rebounder for her size at just over five per game and also leads the team in steals.
Series History
This will be the 69th all-time meeting between Coppin State and Howard with the Bison holding a 40-28 lead in the series. Howard has won three-straight matchups but in the last eight games, both teams have won four apiece.
