NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's
Alexandria Hamilton has been named the MEAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first weekly honor of Hamilton's career.
A freshman from Columbus, Ohio, Hamilton put up 11 points and a season-high eight assists in the Eagles' loss against Niagara last Tuesday. Hamilton was also credited with three rebounds and three steals.
Hamilton has played in eight games while making five starts for CSU this season and has averaged 6.0 points and 2.3 rebounds. She also leads the team with 20 assists and 14 steals.
