NORFOLK, Va. – The Coppin State volleyball team placed seven Eagles on the MEAC Volleyball All-Academic Team it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. The conference honored 83 student-athletes from the league's 11 institutions who maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and sophomore academic standing. Transfers must have completed a full year at their institution to be considered.
Among the Eagles recognized by the MEAC were senior
Asia Stennis and sophomores
Khala Cameron,
Miajavon Coleman,
DeMia Goddard,
Rebekka Hauri,
Chelsie Kolibar and
Aislynn Weaver.
"I am pleased to congratulate our women's volleyball student-athletes for maintaining a 3.0 or better grade point average," said MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. "I would also like to thank all the people who assisted with the academic and athletic success of these student-athletes."
Coppin (12-17, 8-7 MEAC) will compete in the MEAC Tournament this weekend with a first-round clash against North Carolina Central which scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, November 22 at Burr Gymnasium on the campus of Howard University.
