NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's
Raja Anderson has been named the MEAC Bowling Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first weekly honor that Anderson has received in her career.
A freshman from Stafford, Va., Anderson bowled a single-game high of 222 against Prairie View A&M in traditional play at the Vern Stallings Aggie Invitational, and over the course of six games, she averaged 179.67 pins to finish 35
th in the individual standings.
In 23 matches this season, Anderson has averaged a 173.70 with 3,995 total pins.
