DALLAS, Texas – In honor of Coppin State's baseball team winning the 2018 MEAC Regular Season Championship, head coach
Sherman Reed was presented with a special oversized ring by the ABCA and Terryberry Championships Rings at the ABCA Convention last week.
The Eagles finished with a MEAC-best 18-4 record in conference play last season, winning the North Division for the first time since 1996. Coppin also matched a single-season record with 21 victories overall and went on to defeat Florida A&M in the MEAC Tournament before falling in the MEAC Semifinals.
Coppin looks to defend its title as it opens the 2019 season with a four-game series at Savannah State on February 15-17.
