PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Competing in her first meet this season,
Tatiana Ogundeko finished in 14
th place out of 64 runners to lead the Coppin State women's cross country team at the UMES Invitational on Saturday afternoon. No team scores were recorded for the meet.
Ogundeko paced the Eagles, competing the 5K course in 21:00.60 and was the seventh competitor from a MEAC school to finish.
Lunnise Gibson was the second CSU runner to finish, placing 38
th overall in 23:26.10.
Janee Quailes took 44
th in 24:50.50 while
Erykah Jerome and
Jasmine Henery covered the course in 26:49.40 and 27:14.00, respectively.
Erika Hightower also competed for CSU and finished in 31:06.20.
Coppin is set to compete at the DSU Invitational #2 on Friday, October 12 and are seeking to add another completion prior to the MEAC Championship on Saturday, October 27.
