BALTIMORE, Md. - Coppin State Athletics will introduce the women and men's basketball teams as well as the other varsity rosters to the campus community this Thursday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at "Midnight Mayhem: CHAMPION Edition" in the PEC Arena. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Midnight Mayhem will tip off with a basketball alumni game that will be coached by former coach Derek Brown and former athletic director Dr. Mary Wanza. Alumni basketball players representing teams from the 1980's through 2017 will grace the court one more time. Eagles representing the 1997 basketball team that upset the University of South Carolina in the NCAA tournament will be on hand as well as several ladies that played on the Lady Eagles first MEAC championship team in 1991.

Coppin alum Jay Hill will emcee the event. Mayhem will also feature several performances from student groups including the Coppin Cheerleaders, Lady Sapphires, Royal Court, NPHC, CSU Ensemble, ASA, and Coppin Models to just name a few.Â

The evening will conclude with the introductions third year head coach
DeWayne Burroughs and the women's basketball program followed by second year men's basketball head coach
Juan Dixon and the 2018-19 team.  The men's team will play a brief intrasquad scrimmage to wrap up Midnight Mayhem.
