Omaah Tayong led the Lady Eagles with 13 points and 10 rebounds on 6-of-13 shooting from the field. Tayong now has seven double doubles on the season.

Janelle Lane tallied 11 points on 5-of-10 accuracy from the floor. She added six rebounds and a block in 19 minutes of game action.

Keena Samuels scored 10 points, three rebounds and two assists for the Lady Eagles. She knocked down both of her foul shots in 36 minutes on the court.

Genesis Lucas led Coppin State with a team best four assists. She added four points and a game high five steals in 30 minutes for the Lady Eagles.

Jordan Swails and
Tanaysa Henderson led the Eagles with four points apiece off the bench.

Swails chipped in eight rebounds, three assists and four steals. She also sunk both of her foul shots.

Henderson added two rebounds, an assist and one block in 13 minutes.

Coppin State outscored Norfolk State 30-26 in the paint and registered 10 steals off 15 Lady Spartan turnovers.

The Lady Eagles led for over 35 minutes with their biggest lead of 14 coming early in the 3rd quarter.

The stifling Lady Eagles defense was stingy all night. Coppin State blocked six shots and allowed no double digit scoring from any Norfolk State players.

SATURDAY'S GAMECoppin State leads the all-time series over Morgan State, 37-32. The Lady Eagles are 1-4 in the last five meetings after a 72-51 road loss on February 1.

Last season the Lady Bears swept the season series, marking the first time they won both games over Coppin State since the 2012-13 season. The two teams would meet a third time with the Lady Eagles defeating Morgan State, 71-56 in a MEAC first round game (Mar. 10, 2015). It was Coppin State's first win over Morgan State in a MEAC Tournament contest in four tries.

After the Aggies took a 50-49 lead with five minutes to play in the second half, a steal and layup by Samuels sparked a 7-0 Lady Eagles run. North Carolina A&T never recaptured the lead.

Samuels shot 8-of-15 from the field and knocked down nine of her 12 foul shots. She added two assists and three steals while playing all 40 minutes of the game. Samuels sunk five of her final six free throws to help seal the game for Coppin State.
