MIAMI, Fla. – Coppin State (0-8) heads to No. 13 Miami (9-1) on Monday evening in the Watsco Center. Game time is 5:00 p.m. (ET). The Eagles are searching for their first win of the season to avoid their ninth consecutive loss, which would tie the worst start to a season since the 2008-09.

MONDAY's MATCHUP
Coppin State travels to Miami Florida on Monday evening (5:00 p.m. ET) marking their seventh contest in the all-time series between these programs. The Hurricanes won all six meetings including their most recent last season on Dec. 4, 2015 (78-59). Monday's evening's game will mark the Eagles fourth-to-final non-conference game.

NO. 20 SYRACUSE CRUISES TO VICTORY OVER EAGLES
The Eagles were held to 12 made field goals and only three free-throw attempts in a 76-30 loss to Syracuse in their last contest on Wednesday. Syracuse dominated the game shooting 40% (29-71) from the field including 11 made three-pointers extending their lead to as much as 50 with 2:44 left in the third period. Coppin State committed 28 turnovers leading to 30 points for the Orange while being outscored in the paint 30-12.
Tiara Goode and
Keena Samuels combined for 26 of 30 total points by Coppin State. Goode had a team-high 15 points on five made three-pointers and Samuels finished with 11 points knocking down five field goals and making the Eagles only free-throw of the game. Samuels leads the Eagles with five double-digit scoring games this year while Goode recorded her second.
