EMMITSBURG, Md. - Genesis Lucas tied her career-high with 22 points and six rebounds in a 54-48 loss to Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday, Nov. 30 in Knott Arena.
Coppin State tied a season-high with four made three-pointers, 18 made free-throws on 29 attempts. Lucas made three of the shots from long range and red shirt senior

Lucas carried the load in the first half with six points on a pair of made three-pointers. Neal added four points and freshman
Chance Graham scored four points off of the Eagles bench. Coppin State only made five shots in the opening half but defensively held the Mount to seven shots and only two free-throws. The Eagles went into halftime trailing by only six points (20-14).
The Eagles played well in the second half outrebounding the Mount 22-17. Lucas exploded in the fourth quarter with 12 points attempting to bring the Eagles back. She was aggressive in the paint knocking down 7-of-9 free-throws. Mount St. Mary's held on down the stretch for a 54-48 win at home.
The Eagles play their second out of seven consecutive road games prior to conference play with a matchup against Towson University on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m. Towson leads the all-time series meeting with Coppin State 11-4. The Eagles won last season-s meeting 81-69 on the road.
