Coppin State (0-5) will hit the road and close out the non-conference portion of their regular season with seven road games. First off the Eagles head to Emmitsburg, MD on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. for their eighth all-time meeting against Mount St. Mary's. Last season Coppin State defeated the Mount 66-55 on Nov. 29, 2015. The Mount own a slight 4-3 edge in the all-time series with Coppin State.
LAST TIME OUT
Coppin State posted several season-high team stats against Stephen F. Austin in their 2016-17 home opener, despite falling 72-57. The Eagles points (57), field goals made (22), field goal percentage (.367), three-point field goals made (4), assists (13) and blocked shots (7) were all bright spots against the Lumberjacks in non-conference action. ABOUT THE MOUNT
Mount St. Mary (1-4) are on a current three game losing streak after their first victory of the year coming against Morgan State (65-50). Junior center Carolina Hummell leads the team in scoring with 13.6 ppg and also in rebounds with 7.6 rpg.
ON DECK FOR COPPIN STATE
The Eagles play their second out of seven consecutive road games prior to conference play with a matchup against Towson University on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m. Towson leads the all-time series meeting with Coppin State 11-4. The Eagles won last season-s meeting 81-69 on the road.
