BALTIMORE- The Coppin State men's basketball team won its third consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game with a 73-68 victory over the North Carolina A&T Wednesday night January 27 in the Physical Education Complex.

Coppin State (5-14, 3-3) captured its first MEAC home win of the 2015-16 season.

Overall, four Eagles scored in double figures led by 22 points and seven rebounds by
Terry Harris Jr.Â
Harris Jr., shot 7-of-14 from the floor and connected on six of his eight free throws, including the final two foul shots of the game. He added two blocks and two three point baskets in 38 minutes of action.

Harris Jr., has three games of 20 or more points this season.

Keith Shivers was a force on the defensive end of the court, routinely applying the Eagles with tough on the ball defense. Shivers tallied 16 points and three rebounds on 6-of-11 accuracy from the field in 38 minutes.

Christian Kessee added 15 points and a season high eight rebounds. He dished out three assists for the Eagles. Kessee knocked down two shots from long range pushing his streak of game with two or more 3-pointers to nine games.

James Sylvester finished the game with 10 points, six rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes. Sylvester converted a team best eight free throws. All eight of his made free throws came in the second half, including four in the final 2:34 of the game.

Coppin State score 15 points off 12 North Carolina A&T turnovers. The Eagles won the battle of the boards, 44-42 helping them outscore the Aggies in second chance points, 16-12.

The North Carolina A&T Aggies (5-17, 2-6) have now dropped two consecutive MEAC road games.

Sam Hunt led the Aggies with 16 points. Ahmad Abdullah chipped in 15 points, five rebounds and three assists for North Carolina A&T.

Coppin State will return to action Saturday, January 30 as they square off against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Tipoff is at 4:00 p.m. in the Physical Education Complex.Â
