BALTIMORE- The Coppin State Men's basketball fell to Maryland Eastern Shore 81-83 on Saturday January 30 in PEC Arena in Baltimore.

The loss snapped a four game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) win streak for the Coppin State Eagles (5-15, 3-4).

Terry Harris Jr., recorded his sixth double double of the season in the loss. Harris scored 14 points and 14 rebounds. He tied a career best with three assists and two blocks, including knocking down all eight of his free throws in 42 minutes.

Christian Kessee led the Eagles with 20 points on a career best six made 3-point field goals on seven attempts. All six of Kessee's made baskets were 3-pointers.

Keith Shivers tied a career high with 17 points. He added three rebounds and three assists. Shiver connected on three of his six 3-point attempts and sunk four of his six foul shots in 45 minutes of game action.

Shivers tallied a career best four steals in the setback loss.

Joshua Treadwell scored 15 points and four rebounds. Treadwell added one assist on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor, including going 3-of-6 from 3-point range and converting 2-of-4 from the charity stripe.

The Eagles shot 54.5% from beyond the arc going 12-of-22 in the game.

Coppin State also shot 85.3% from the foul line sinking 29 of its 34 free throw attempts.

CSU scored 13 points off of 18 UMES turnovers and outscored the Hawks 40-35 in the second half.

Maryland Eastern Shore (6-16, 3-4) has now won two consecutive MEAC games.

Dontae Caldwell led the Hawks with 25 points. Devin Martin added 10 points and seven rebounds for UMES.

The Coppin State Eagles will return to action for their first of a three game road trip Monday February 1 to square off against crosstown rival Morgan State for the Battle of Baltimore. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. in the Hill Field House in Baltimore.Â
