DOVER, Del. – With daylight disappearing and Coppin State leading Delaware State 11-8 in the top of the fifth inning, the second game of the teams' doubleheader was suspended and will resume Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
When the game begins, Coppin State will have runners on second and third base with one out. Zach Candeloro will be pitching for Delaware State, which won the opening game, 8-5.
In the opener, Jack Kraft slugged a three-run home run that gave Coppin State a 3-2 lead in the third inning. He finished with four runs batted in.
Colin Dower had his second three hit game of the week for the Eagles.
Bryant Miranda also had two hits for Coppin State.
We'll wrap up the entire series following Sunday's regularly scheduled contest, which will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game.
