BALTIMORE- During this holiday season the Coppin State University Athletics Department will be sponsoring two families.
A family of six with students from Rosemont Elementary and Middle Schools and a family of three with students at Coppin Academy.
This Christmas project is a part of the Loretta's Kids program Kid's helping Kid's for Christmas. The program is based on trying to give children a very nice Christmas.
Headed by Loretta Krausz, the program has been running since 1993, and was able to help 521 kids last year. This is a non-profit organization.
"We are always excited to do our part and help when needed," said
Alecia Shields-Gadson, interim athletic director. "As a department we wanted to brighten the Christmas season for a couple of families in our community."
Food, clothes, toys and gift cards are all welcomed.
